In celebration of our 35th Anniversary, we continue with our LW Employee profiles. Meet Sherri Etheredge, our Branch Administrator for our Irondale branch in Birmingham, who’s been with Landscape Workshop since 2000.

What is your favorite memory from working at LW?
Working on a project for Habitat for Humanity (pictured right). It was a great feeling to see different companies and people working together for a great cause.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned at LW?
Changes can happen on a moment’s notice- you need to be able to change with it.

Which customer or colleague has had the greatest impact on you?
I don’t have any particular customer, but I do love the residential customers. You get more one-on-one experience. They surprise me with how open they are about talking about their own families. Sometimes, I will randomly get an email from a customer just checking in on me if they haven’t heard from me in awhile.

What do you like best about your role at LW?
Even though I’m not my own boss, I feel like I am my own boss. I do my job and don’t have someone telling me that I need to do it.

What is the most notable change you have seen at LW over the years?
Technology & dependable equipment – we have more tools now. I think having IT support helps us old-school people out tremendously.

What three words would you use to describe LW?
Smart, Loyal, Knowledgeable
