REV Birmingham Project

Landscape Workshop was presented with an opportunity to lend a helping hand for the city of Birmingham, and of course, we were more than willing and excited to participate!

If you’re not familiar with REV Birmingham (REV), you need to be! REV Birmingham is dedicated to revitalizing places, energizing business, and ensuring communities are economically and socially efficient to create vibrancy in the city of Birmingham. Needless to say, they’re improving what’s known as “The Magic City” by creating not only physical, tangible improvements, but also by developing a sense of community and opportunity for people to get involved.

In order to help REV Birmingham achieve their goals, our Landscape Workshop volunteer crew spent a Friday afternoon planting trees downtown on 1st Avenue North, where there had previously been empty tree walls ruining the aesthetic of the city streets. We planted beautiful elm trees that will continue to grow in the soil for as long as Birmingham will have them.

Thank you so much to REV Birmingham for creating a foundation of something great and allowing us to participate! For more information on the REV Birmingham project, please visit their website.
